ORLANDO, FLA.—The Hamline University women's tennis team wrapped up their spring trip with a 5-4 loss to Scranton at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida on Thursday.
The Pipers fall to 2-8, while the Royals improve to 4-4.
"I am extremely proud of the effort my girls showed tonight," said Pipers head tennis coach Spencer Jones. "Three of our women came back from losing the first set to force their singles matches into deep tiebreaks that all barely broke in Scranton's favor. The team we lost to was a class act, and our women keep closing the gap against quality opponents. Christine Muller completed an undefeated spring break trip with two more wins tonight!"
The Pipers will resume MIAC play on Sunday, March 19 against Concordia (Minn.) at the Rogers Tennis Center in Rogers, Minnesota at 12:30 p.m.
