WINONA, MINN.—The Hamline University women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision at Saint Mary's (Minn.) on Saturday afternoon.
The Pipers fall to 2-10, 0-5 MIAC, while the Cardinals improve to 6-7, 1-5 MIAC.
"Tough loss today at Winona against a boisterous crowd," said Pipers head tennis coach Spencer Jones. "Natalie Randall swept her matches today and had a great singles win."
Saint Mary's 5, Hamline 4
Natalie Randall carried the Pipers on her shoulders, which began with an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles with partner Chloe Reyes. Randall kept that momentum alive at No. 5 singles with a 6-3, 6-1 victory. Jenna Rubbelke prevailed with a 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 win at No. 2 singles, while Christine Muller was victorious at No. 6 with a 6-0, 6-2 domination.
The Pipers will host Martin Luther at InnerCity Tennis on Tuesday, March 28 at 4 p.m.
