MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.—The Hamline University men's tennis team took down Martin Luther 8-1 in a non-conference match at InnerCity Tennis in Minneapolis on Tuesday.
The Pipers improve to 9-4, while the Knights fall to 1-4.

A 3-0 doubles sweep was the case for Hamline courtesy of Tyler Rousslang/Isaac Hultberg 8-2 at No 1, Sam Thompson/Sean Le 8-1 at No. 2, and Tate Johanning/Surprise Taylor 8-2 at No. 3.
The Pipers prevailed in the top five singles slots. Sam Thompson won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1, while Isaac Hultberg prevailed at No. 2 by a score of 6-1, 6-3. Tyler Rousslang registered a 6-2, 6-1 triumph at No. 3, followed by Surprise Taylor's 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4. Sean Le rounded out the Hamline victories with a 6-1, 6-1 decision at the No. 5 spot.
Hamline will host Saint John's at the Rogers Tennis Center on Saturday, April 1 at 5 p.m.
