ROSEVILLE, MINN.—The Hamline University women's tennis team made the short trip up Snelling Avenue to face Northwestern (Minn.) on Wednesday, where they dropped an 8-1 decision.
The Pipers fall to 4-13, while the Eagles improve to 9-8.
"Great comeback wins for freshman Natalie Randall tonight," said Pipers head tennis coach Spencer Jones. "Several really tough close losses and very winnable matches as Jenna Rubbelke lost a nailbiter."
Northwestern 8, Hamline 1
Natalie Randall won a 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 match at No. 5 singles.
The Pipers will travel to Bethel on Sunday, April 16 for a 1:30 p.m. match.
