SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's track & field team made the short trip to Concordia St. Paul to compete in the Holst Invitational on Saturday. No team scores were recorded.

Michael Braun paced the men with a second-place leap of 1.85m in the high jump, followed by a third-place tally of 6.23m in the long jump. Both those marks put him atop all NCAA Division III competitors at the meet. Carter Kienholz came through with a dominating performance in the javelin, where he was the top NCAA Division III finisher in fourth place with a 41.31m.

Will Saari highlighted the distance group with a 16:52.16 in the 5000 meter run, good enough for fifth place. Sixth place was in the cards for Reece Thomas in the 200 meter dash, where he crossed the finish line at 23.75. The 100 meter dash resulted in times of 11.40 for both Ozzie Robinson and Thomas, which put them in seventh and eighth place, respectively. Andrei Pettis (1:03.70) took third place, followed by Raul Ortiz (1:04.80) in fourth place in the 400 meter hurdles. Oliver Engstrom cleared the bar at 3.80m en route to sixth place in the pole vault.

The Pipers will compete in the University of Minnesota Brave Like Gabe Invite on Wednesday, April 26.
