SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's soccer team's 2023 MIAC opener pitted them against Augsburg at Pat Paterson Field on Tuesday afternoon. Both teams battled to a 0-0 draw.
The Pipers' first tie of the season moves them to 1-3-1, 0-0-1 MIAC, while the Auggies stay unbeaten at 4-0-1, 0-0-1 MIAC.
Hamline 0, Augsburg 0
Each half resulted in a 5-3 shots advantage for the Auggies en route to a 10-6 total for the match. The 0-0 result marked Augsburg's third shutout through five games played in 2023, while Hamline owns two through six contests.Â
Tali Shradar registered a team-leading three shots for the Pipers, while McKenna Nachreiner also peppered three shots for the Auggies. Hamline goalkeeper Isabella Jensen came through with three saves in her second complete-game shutout of the season, while Augsburg's Iz Shuster stopped two shots in net.
The Pipers will travel to Saint Benedict on Saturday, September 16. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
