SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's basketball team made the trek down Snelling Avenue to Macalester for a rare Monday-night showdown. The Pipers pushed their win streak to four games with an 89-74 victory over the Scots.
Hamline improves to 9-6, 7-3 MIAC, while Macalester falls to 7-8, 3-7 MIAC.

All five lead changes occurred over the opening seven minutes. The Pipers dug themselves out of a 16-13 hole when Jake Veldman's three-pointer at 14:15 left in the first half kick-started a 29-9 run that gave them a double-digit lead for good in an 89-74 victory over the Scots.
Five Pipers finished in double figures, led by 21 points from Bradley Cimperman. Austin Holt added another double double to his resume with 15 points and 10 rebounds along with five assists. Daniel McCarrell added 14 points while Raoul Vaidya and Jake Veldman came off the bench with 12 and 10 points, respectively.Â
Hamline finished with a 31-of-63 (.492) field goal percentage, and an 11-of-25 (.440) clip from the three-point line.Â
Scots superstar Caleb Williams had 20 points and three assists, while Eric Wentz came off the bench with a game-high 22 points.
The Pipers will travel to Bethel on Wednesday, January 18 for a 7 p.m. game.Â
