SAINT PAUL, MINN - The Hamline University men's basketball team continued their hot streak with a 74-73 win over Saint John's University.

Hamline improves to 11-6, 9-3Â MIAC, while Saint John's falls to 13-4, 11-1 MIAC.

Hamline was led by
Austin Holt's 24 points in the contest between the top two teams in the current MIAC standings. Holt also led all players with 13 boards.
Daniel McCarrell went 7-11 from the field to finish with 16 and 3 assists, and Brendon Ebel added 10 points and 3 assists.Â

Bradley Cimperman bucket brought the Pipers from a 3 point to a 1 point deficit with 36 seconds to play, and he rounded out the scoring by knocking down both free throws with 2 seconds left in the contest. The Johnnies' last-second attempt fell short, making the final score 74-73, Hamline. Cimperman finished with 11 points, including 4-4 free throws.    Â
The win over the Johnnies marks Hamline's 6th straight in conference play.Â
