Box Score SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The MIAC-WIAC Interlock continued for the Hamline University men's hockey team on Saturday night, when they hosted UW-Stout at TRIA Rink. The Pipers never trailed and held a 35-34 shots on goal advantage, but settled for a 4-4 tie against the Blue Devils.
Hamline's first tie of the season gives them a 4-8-1 record, while UW-Stout moves to 5-8-2.

Carson Simon gave the Pipers a 1-0 lead on his team's seventh shot on goal of the game at 9:31 of the first period. It was an advantage Hamline maintained throughout the opening two periods as Dallas Duckson widened the cushion to 2-0 at 14:57 of the first frame.Â
The second period resulted in a 2-1 scoring advantage for UW-Stout, who cut their deficit in half to 2-1 courtesy of Peyton Hart at 5:01. Hart's next shot also turned into a goal, but it didn't come before Bailey Sommers' tally at 8:49 of the second that pushed Hamline's lead to 3-1. Less than a minute later, Hart notched his second goal of the game at 9:26 that narrowed the Pipers' advantage to 3-2.Â
Special teams highlighted a third period that saw three power-play tallies. Jordon Halverson's goal at 14:48 was sandwiched between tallies from Nicolas Pigeon at 9:02, and Dylan Rallis on the extra attack at 19:47 that put the score at 4-4.
Sommers secured a 1-0 shootout win for Hamline.
The Blue Devils, who went 2-for-3 on the power play, got 29 saves from goaltender Tyler Masternick. Maximillian Haselbacher stopped 27 shots in net for Hamline.
The Pipers will travel to UW-Eau Claire on Friday, January 12 for a 7 p.m. game.Â
