D3FOOTBALL.COM TEAM OF THE WEEK (WEEK 4)

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Hamline University junior defensive back Juan Bertaud has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his performance in week four of the 2024 season, a 24-14 loss to Carleton on September 28.

Bertaud is the 18th Piper to land a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week, and the first since Charlie Wilson earned the distinction last season in week four. He is the third Hamline defensive back to earn the national honor, and the first since Christian Willman in 2010.

Bertaud registered three interceptions for 36 yards, as well as four tackles in the Pipers' 24-14 loss to Carleton on September 28. Two of those interceptions occurred in the fourth quarter, which gave Hamline opportunities to come back and take the lead. His first pick was Hamline's third defensive play of the contest.

The Denver, Colorado native's efforts also landed him September 30 MIAC Football Defensive Player of the Week.

Bertaud and the Pipers will travel to St. Olaf on Saturday, October 5 for a 1 p.m. game.
