SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Hamline University Assistant Vice President and Athletic Director Alex Focke announced that Bob Davies has been named the new coach of the Hamline University football program. 

"I am excited to welcome Coach Bob Davies as the next Head Football Coach at Hamline University," stated Focke, "His enthusiasm, commitment to excellence, and clear vision for the future of Hamline Football stood out during a highly competitive search and make him a great fit for our program. I am excited for the opportunity to work with him!" 

Davies brings a proven offensive pedigree and a track record of immediate program turnarounds to his new role as head football coach. Davies has coached at every collegiate level, serving as an offensive coordinator at the Division I, II, and III levels, including becoming one of the youngest offensive coordinators in Division I history when he was hired at Marist.

Known for building dynamic and productive offenses, Davies helped an offense at Carleton break 23 school records and guided the program to its first winning season in 13 years. His three seasons there became the winningest stretch in school history, while also developing the program's all-time leading passer.

Davies has also been part of record-setting staffs at the highest levels, including a Princeton team that broke the Ivy League's all-time passing record. Most recently at Gustavus, his offense increased scoring by more than a touchdown per game and produced an all-conference quarterback despite the QB starting only the final seven games of the season. Also at Carleton and Gustavus, he played a significant role in recruiting, securing commitments from local and national recruits.

The Jackson, N.J. native, earned his bachelor's degree from Monmouth University in 2017 where he was a quarterback.
