NORTHFIELD, MINN.—The Hamline University men's soccer team came up empty for the first time this season in a 3-0 road loss to Carleton on Saturday afternoon.
The Pipers fall to 12-4, 4-4 MIAC, while the Knights improve to 9-3-3, 4-3-0 MIAC.

The Knights, who out shot the Pipers 16-6, sealed the 3-0 victory in the first half behind goals from Ben Pennell in the 30th minute, Owen Flanagan in the 33rd minute, and Briggs Priem in the 44th minute.
The Pipers will be without leading scorer Ricky Kwabena Yawson in their next match, as he was assessed a red card in the 83rd minute.
Maxim Henderson stopped one shot over the opening 45:00 in net for the Pipers, before Bodean Gaustad made two saves in the second half. Leo Kugel stopped two shots in a complete-game shutout in net for Carleton.
Hamline will host Crown at Pat Paterson Field on Thursday, October 24.
