SAINT PAUL, MINN.—For just the second time this season, the Hamline University women's volleyball team succumbed to a 3-0 sweep. This time at the hands of UW-River Falls by scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-16 at Hutton Arena on Wednesday night.
The Pipers fall to 7-10, while the Falcons improve to 8-9.

A rhythm wasn't found by the Pipers, who finished the match with a season-low -.009 hitting percentage, 22 kills, 18 assists, three service aces, and 29.0 points.
Riley Melby's six kills, Jenna Rubbelke's 18 digs, Kaitlyn Kotek's 17 assists, and Kayli Starkey's three service aces were team bests for the Pipers.
The Falcons hit .171 as a team, led by Lauren Noth's 12 kills, .296 hitting percentage, three service aces, and 11 digs.
The Pipers will host Concordia (Minn.) at Hutton Arena on Saturday, October 5 at 7 p.m.
