The first half began with a defensive battle, as both teams missed several early shots. Hamline's Brendan Ebel sparked the Pipers with a three-pointer and a layup, contributing to a 5-2 lead. The Pipers demonstrated offensive efficiency with Ebel and Raoul Vaidya each hitting 3-pointers, extending their lead to 13-5. Luther struggled with turnovers and fouls, allowing Hamline to capitalize and maintain their advantage. By the end of the half, Hamline led 33-25, aided by their 9-for-14 performance from the free throw line compared to Luther's 5-for-6.

In the second half, the Pipers outscored the Norse 54-38, with significant contributions from Bradley Cimperman and Brendan Ebel. Cimperman made early free throws and continued to score consistently, including a crucial 3-pointer and a fastbreak layup. Luther's Aidan Bailey made a strong effort, scoring both jumpers and 3-pointers, but it was not enough to close the gap. The Pipers capitalized on multiple key moments and defensive rebounds, extending their lead with a late 14-2 run powered by Ebel and Raoul Vaidya, who both scored essential points to secure the half.

Bradley Cimperman led the team with 29 points, making 10-of-16 field goal attempts and hitting 7-of-9 free throws. Brendan Ebel contributed significantly with 23 points, shooting a perfect 7-for-7 from the field, including four 3-pointers. Raoul Vaidya added 17 points, with six field goals out of 13 attempts. Daniel McCarrell, noted for his defensive play, recorded two steals in the game.

His efficient shooting from beyond the arc and overall scoring proficiency were key highlights. Will Bockenstedt also made a significant impact by contributing 12 points, all from 3-point shots, demonstrating his prowess from long range. Additionally, Andre Palavra added to the team's efforts with 10 points, showing versatility in both field goals and free throws.
