Pipers Win on Senior Day, Cimperman Records Career Point No. 1,000

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Bradley Cimperman recorded his 1,000th career point for the Hamline University men's basketball team in their 75-73 victory over Macalester at Hutton Arena on Saturday, which marked their final home game of the regular season. Fifth-year Jake Veldman was honored for Senior Day.

The Pipers improve to 14-9, 12-6 MIAC, while the Scots fall to 9-14, 5-13 MIAC.

Raoul Vaidya, who tied for a team-leading 18 points off the bench, put Hamline in the driver's seat for good at 56-54 off his three-pointer with 9:57 remaining in the contest. Cimperman scored 10 of his 18 points over the final 10:00 of the game to become Hamline's 19th 1,000 point scorer in school history. This included three free throws over the final 4:00 of the contest, which helped secure a 75-73 victory.

Cimperman and Vaidya each scored 18 points for a Hamline team that shot .453 (29-of-64) and .333 (10-of-30) from the three-point line. Leading the way at the glass was Cimperman, who pulled down seven rebounds. Brendan Ebel contributed three steals.

Coby Gold paced Macalester with 21 points, followed by 20 from Caleb Williams.

The Pipers will travel to St. Scholastica on Wednesday, February 14 for a 7 p.m. game.
