RESULTS
DECORAH, IOWA—The Hamline University men's track & field team participated in the Luther Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Pipers took third place out of seven teams with 86 points. Culver-Stockton won the team title with a 134.
Michael Braun carried the Pipers on his shoulders with a pair of first-place leaps in the triple (13.00m) and high jump (1.87m). Jackson Lightner kept the first-place trend alive with a 8.55 in the 60 meter hurdles. Morris Suah was on Braun's heels in the high jump, where he achieved second place with a 1.77m
Second place was in the cards for Mickey Otis (7.26) in the 60 meter hurdles, and Raul Ortiz (53.18) in the 400 meter hurdles. Reece Thomas trailed Otis in the 60 meter run with a time of 7.27, good enough for third place. The shot put resulted in a third-place toss of 12.08m for Harry Massey.
The Pipers will compete at the South Dakota State Indoor Classic on February 9-10.
