LA CROSSE, Wis. --- The Hamline University track and field team made a strong statement at the UW-La Crosse Indoor Final Qualifier on March 7, headlined by a dominant performance in the triple jump.
Isaiah Watson provided the highlight of the meet for the Pipers, capturing first place in the Men's Triple Jump. His winning mark of 14.64m (48-00.50) surpassed the previous meet record. Waston sits tied currently at 20th nationally with his best triple jump mark.Â
The Men's team also saw success in the field and on the track, with senior
Austin Schloeder on pole vault clearing 4.70m (15-05.00) to finish in 7th place and senior
Andrei Pettis in the 60 meter dash clocking a time of 7.11 seconds in the preliminary round.
On the women's side, senior
Lexi Brainer represented Hamline in the Shot Put. She delivered a solid performance, finishing 11th overall with a top toss of 12.11m (39-08.75).
