MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.—The Hamline University men's soccer team dropped their first game of the season by a 5-2 score in their 2024 MIAC Opener at Augsburg on Tuesday night.
The Pipers fall to 7-1, 0-1 MIAC while the Auggies improve to 6-1-1, 1-0-0 MIAC.

The Pipers, who found themselves down 3-0 at halftime after having just one shot, managed to trim their deficits to 3-1 in the 61st minute off the penalty kick, and 4-2 in the 83rd minutes behind tallies from Clarence Weah.
The Auggies got scoring from Caezar Daniell, Mitchel Munzing, Jakob Mohrlok, Remus Repcak, and Diego Veit in their 5-2 victory. They out shot the Pipers 23-7 in the contest. Six infractions were assessed, the last five were called on Hamline.
Maxim Henderson made seven saves in net for the Pipers, while Frankie Pinto stopped two shots for the Auggies.
The Pipers will host Saint John's (Minn.) at Pat Paterson Field on Saturday, September 21 at 3:30 p.m.
