SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Hamline University football junior wide receiver Dawson Schaffer has been named September 9 MIAC Football Offensive Player of the Week.

Offensive: Dawson Schaffer (Hamline)
Defensive: Jaiden Musse (Concordia Minn.)
 
Schaffer caught a single-game school record five touchdown passes from 66, 33, eight, eight, and 94 yards out for the Hamline University football team in their 35-14 victory at Crown on Saturday night.
 
The junior transfer from Concordia (Minn.) finished that game with nine receptions for 272 yards and five touchdowns. His 272 yards receiving were just two shy of Nick Barber's record of 274 set at St. Olaf on October 7, 2017.
 
Schaffer and the Pipers will host Minnesota Morris at Klas Field for Duane Benson Day on Saturday, September 14 at 6 p.m.
