MANKATO, Minn. — The Hamline University men's soccer team was shut out 3-0 by Bethany Lutheran College at Scheels Field, with the hosts recording 26 shots to Hamline's eight.
Alec Setterberg recorded six saves during the match, preventing further goals despite facing 26 shots. 
Edgar Flores Vasquez contributed offensively with two shots, one of which was on target. 
Augustine Feika also posed a threat upfront, managing two shots on goal. 
Alexander Taylor added defensive strength while taking one shot that was on target.
The match started with both teams probing for opportunities, with Hamline's Setterberg making an early save in the 7th minute to deny Vicente Oliveira. Flores Vasquez attempted Hamline's first shot on goal in the 14th minute, but it went out top. Setterberg remained active, saving a shot from Rosalem Tendaie in the 32nd minute.
Bethany Lutheran broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute with a goal by Goncalo Nolasco, assisted by Miguel Goncalves. The Pipers responded with attempts from Taylor and Feika late in the half, both of which were saved by Bethany Lutheran's defense. The first half concluded with the Pipers trailing 1-0.
The second half began with Hamline looking to shift momentum, as Feika's early shot was saved by Bethany Lutheran's goalkeeper, Daniel Hughes. Despite consistent pressure from the Pipers, including multiple corner kicks, Bethany Lutheran extended their lead with a goal by Oliveira in the 50th minute.
Hamline continued to push forward, with 
Chris Palma taking a shot that narrowly missed the target. However, Bethany Lutheran capitalized on their opportunities, as Gijs van Eldik added another goal in the 71st minute. Setterberg made several key saves to prevent further scoring, but the Pipers were unable to cut into the deficit. The second half concluded with a scoreline of 3-0 in favor of Bethany Lutheran.
