SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Hamline (6-2, 1-1 MIAC) rallied in the second half to secure a 94-84 victory over Macalester College (4-5, 0-2 MIAC) at Hutton Arena on Saturday night. The home team outscored the visitors 57-33 after the break, with the Pipers benefiting from 18 points off turnovers.
The game opened with Macalester establishing an early lead, highlighted by Kyle Jilla's three-pointer at 16:31, making the score 5-2. Hamline responded with a dunk from
Brendan Ebel at 17:14 to tie the score briefly. Macalester pulled ahead with a 3-pointer from Noah Shannon, extending their lead to 19-9 by 12:42. Despite efforts from the Pipers, including a three-pointer by
Brock Donaldson at 6:17, Macalester maintained control, closing the first half with a 51-37 lead, capped by Ryan Brush's late three-pointer at the 51-second mark.

Raoul Vaidya opened the half with a three-pointer at 19:46, setting the tone for their offensive push. Ebel played a pivotal role with multiple defensive rebounds and crucial points, including a layup at 6:57 that contributed to Hamline's lead. Macalester's Noah Hamburg attempted to keep pace with a three-pointer at 10:11, but Hamline's balanced attack and timely scoring ensured their advantage. Vaidya's free throws in the final minute sealed the win.
Ebel led the team with 25 points, converting 10 of 17 field goal attempts, including three from beyond the arc, and also collected 11 rebounds. Vaidya contributed 18 points, making six of 11 shots, with three successful 3-pointers.
Jake DeDominces added 16 points, shooting 5-for-8 from the field and going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
Ethan Wall-Atim posted 10 points and nearly reached a double-double with nine rebounds.
