Pipers Take Down Scranton in Florida

ORLANDO, FLA.—The Hamline University men's tennis team defeated Scranton 6-1 in Orlando, Florida on Thursday. 

"Great win for the Hamline men today here in Florida," said Pipers head tennis coach Spencer Jones.

The Pipers claimed the doubles point behind wins from Rumeal Setts/Tyler Rousslang 6-4 at No. 1, and Cooper Johnson/Matthew George 6-0 at No. 3.

No. 1 singles saw Setts claim a 6-4, 2-1 victory by retirement. Cooper Johnson took care of business 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot, while Elijah Krause was victorious 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4. Brendan Sebring prevailed 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles. The No. 6 spot resulted in a 6-0, 6-0 win for Matthew George.

The Pipers will face Colby-Sawyer tomorrow, Friday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m. (ET).
