MEQUON, WIS.—Sophomore goalie Lola Brouwer came up big with a career-high 21 saves for the Hamline University women's lacrosse team, who pushed their win streak to two games with a 15-11 decision over Concordia (Wis.).
The Pipers improve to 2-4, while the Falcons fall to 1-4.

For the second-straight game, a well-balanced Pipers attack kicked things off as Avery Wilson, Reagan Zywicki, Emma Collins, and Nicole Phillips each contributed to their team's 4-1 lead with 8:36 remaining in the first quarter. This ignited a Falcons squad that countered with a 5-1 run, which resulted in their only lead of the game at 6-5 with 11:21 on the second-quarter clock.Â
Hamline's balanced offense continued, as six different individuals netted a goal in their 6-0 run that put them in the driver's seat for good at 11-6 with 12:45 left in the third frame.Â
While several Pipers contributed offensively, the Falcons leaned heavily on Katelyn Cardinale, who finished the contest with a game-high six goals. Her fifth tally of the game got Concordia within two goals at 12-10 with 13:37 remaining in the contest. Lauren Moorhouse, Emma Collins, and Avery Wilson each netted a goal down the stretch to ice Hamline a 15-11 victory.
Seven Pipers scored a goal, led by Avery Wilson's four. She added two assists for a six-point outing. Emma Collins notched a hat trick, while Zywicki, Phillips, and Moorhouse each had two tallies. Sophia Warner led Hamline with five ground balls, and four caused turnovers. Ema Rehder, who also scored a goal, notched a team-best six draw controls as well as three ground balls.Â
Concordia out shot Hamline 47-22. The Pipers won the draw control battle 19-11. Both teams combined for 12 infractions.
Brouwer made 21 saves for the Pipers, while Parks Cawthray stopped five shots for the Falcons.
Hamline will return to action on Wednesday, March 25 at UW-Eau Claire. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
