Pipers Show Out at Gustavus Gustie Twilight

RESULTS

ST. PETER, MINN.—The Hamline University men's track & field team competed at the Gustavus Gustie Twilight on Wednesday evening. The Pipers accumulated seven career bests in the meet.

First place was in the cards for Morris Suah in the 100 meter hurdles (16.38), Ricky Kwabena Yawson in the 100 meter dash (10.72), Austin Schloeder in the pole vault (4.70m), and Abdoul Gueye in the triple jump (12.80m). The 4x200 meter relay team of Mickey Otis, Reece Thomas, Dawson Schaffer, and Ricky Kwabena Yawson notched a first-place time of 1:29.38. 

David Couper registered a second-place toss of 43.22m in the javelin, while Austin Holt also achieved that standing with a 41.35m in the discus. 

The 400 meter hurdles was all David Goyke, who notched third place with a career-best 59.81. Josiah Budiman claimed third place in the long jump with a 6.26m. Harry Massey led the Pipers in the shot put with a 13.42m, good enough for third place.

Hamline will compete at the University of Minnesota Gary Wilson Invitational on Wednesday, April 23.
