SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's tennis team fell to Macalester 5-4 in their 2025 spring home opener on Tuesday.
The Pipers fall to 5-8, 2-4 MIAC, while the Scots improve to 8-5, 3-2 MIAC.

Hamline's lone doubles victory occurred at the No. 1 position, where Rumeal Setts/Tyler Rousslang prevailed 8-7.
Setts anchored the Pipers' lineup with a 6-4, 2-6, 10-1 victory at No. 1 singles. Cooper Johnson cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles, while Matthew George took care of business 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 6 spot.Â
The No. 2 spot resulted in a heartbreaking 6-3, 6-4, 12-10 loss for Tyler Rousslang.
The Pipers will host Martin Luther at the Holt Courts on Thursday, April 10 at 4 p.m.
