ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Hamline University women's soccer team registered three second-half goals to secure a 3-2 victory over Coe at Pat Paterson Field on Sunday morning.
Hamline improves to 1-0-1 for the season, while the Kohawks fall to 0-2-0.

Both teams showed strong defensive efforts, resulting in a scoreless half. Hamline's
Ellie Nhean missed a penalty kick early, with Coe's goalkeeper Ashton Proctor making the save. Proctor continued to be a crucial player, saving multiple shots on goal, including attempts from
Addyson Barrett,
Christin Broyles, and

Maddox Fergus had several key saves against shots from Coe's Eliana Manning and Maggie Preuss, maintaining the 0-0 score at halftime.
Hamline started the second half strong with Barrett scoring in the 46th minute, quickly followed by a goal from Broyles in the 51st minute, assisted by Barrett, putting the Pipers up 2-0.
Alexis Geary extended the lead to 3-0 in the 65th minute. Coe responded with a goal by Preuss in the 66th minute and another by Mac Adams in the 78th minute, assisted by Preuss, narrowing the gap to 3-2. Despite multiple attempts from both sides, including a missed penalty kick by each team, Hamline maintained their lead to finish the half ahead 3-2.
Nhean led Hamline with six shots, four were on goal. Barrett contributed significantly with a three-point outing that included one goal and one assist, along with four shots and three on target. Broyles also found the back of the net once, accumulating four shots and three on goal. Geary scored the game-winning goal and converted her only shot on target. Fergus stood out defensively with four saves in the first half, keeping a clean sheet during her 45 minutes in net.
Isabella Jensen, who played the final 45:00 in net, made two saves.
Proctor recorded 13 saves in goal for Coe, playing all 90 minutes and facing 27 shots. Preuss contributed both offensively and defensively, scoring one goal and providing one assist, while also leading the team with five shots and three on goal. Manning matched Preuss in shot attempts with five and three on goal. Adams found the back of the net once.
