Feika Scores Twice In 3-1 Win Over UW-River Falls

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Hamline (9-1-2, 1-1-1) secured a 3-1 non-conference victory over the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (3-4-2, 0-0-0) at Pat Paterson Field, highlighted by a dominant first half with two goals.
Augustine Feika led the Pipers' offense with two goals on four shots, both of which were on target. Sylvester Doe contributed by scoring the game-winning goal, converting one of his two shots on target. Max Henderson recorded four saves across 90 minutes in goal, allowing just one goal on 12 shots faced. Johanso Camacho added an assist, helping to set up one of the team's scoring opportunities.
The first half began with Hamline establishing momentum early. Feika opened the scoring in the 6th minute with a goal assisted by Camacho, giving the Pipers a 1-0 advantage. Doe then extended the lead in the 34th minute, finishing a play set up by Lal Mawia. Hamline maintained pressure throughout, with Henderson making a crucial save in the 16th minute to keep UW-River Falls scoreless. The period closed with Hamline ahead 2-0, controlling the tempo and keeping their defensive line strong.
The second half commenced with UW-River Falls narrowing the gap early, as Daniel Pirillo scored with an assist from Noah Meschke, bringing the score to 2-1. Hamline responded with a steady defensive effort, including key saves by Henderson, which preserved the lead. Feika extended the Pipers' advantage with a goal in the 77th minute, pushing the score to 3-1 and securing the win at home.
The Pipers will be on the road next, headed to Duluth to play the College of Saint Scholastica on October 4 at 1 PM.
