PLYMOUTH, Wis. — Hamline University secured a decisive 5-1 victory over Lakeland University on Friday night at Taylor Field, with the Pipers' offense firing 14 shots on goal.
Hamline improved to 2-0-1 overall following the victory, while the Muskies fall to 1-2-0.

Hamline took a commanding lead in the first half, finding the net three times against Lakeland.
Luis Mancilla opened the scoring in the third minute with an assist from
Johanso Camacho.
Clarence Weah doubled the advantage in the 24th minute, with
Belal Elghorab providing the assist.
Chris Palma extended the lead to 3-0 in the 39th minute, assisted by
Christopher Lopez Salvador. The Pipers' offense was active, registering six shots on goal, while goalkeeper
Alec Setterberg made two saves to maintain the shutout.
The Pipers extended their lead early in the second half with a goal by
Beniam Makonnen, assisted by Weah, bringing the score to four-nil. Despite a response from the Muskies' Jordan Davis-Troller in the 67th minute, Hamline maintained control and further solidified their position with a late goal from Mancilla, concluding the match with a decisive five-one victory. Hamline's offensive pressure was evident, with multiple attempts on target, while their defense restricted Lakeland to a single goal in the half.

Mancilla scored two goals with both shots he took on target. Weah added a goal and an assist, with his tally being the game-winner. In the midfield, Elghorab recorded an assist and managed to get a shot on goal. Setterberg, in goal, made three saves, helping secure the victory for the Pipers
Matt English stood out for the Muskies, making seven saves over 82 minutes in goal. Roman Riggs led the team in offensive pressure with four shots, two of which were on goal. Brahm Dell Adema provided the team's only assist, contributing to the attack with three shots. Davis-Troller scored the sole goal for Lakeland, with two of his three shots on target.
The Pipers will face Lawrence in Appleton, Wisconsin on Sunday, September 7 at 1 p.m.
