SARTELL, Minn. --- Hamline women's tennis earned a 5-2 MIAC road win over College of Saint Benedict on Saturday afternoon at Sta-Fit in Sartell, Minnesota.
The Pipers claimed two of three doubles matches to take an early 2-1 lead.
Elanna Kohner and Christine Muller secured a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles, while
Emily Dreger and Gabi Newton added a 6-4 win at No. 3. Saint Benedict picked up the point at No. 1 doubles.
In singles play, Hamline won three matches to seal the team victory.
Chloe Reyes delivered a strong performance at No. 2 singles, earning a 7-5, 6-0 straight-set win.
Kohner followed with a 7-5, 6-4 victory at No. 3.
At No. 5 singles,
Dreger battled through a three-set thriller, winning 6-1, 1-6, 12-10 in a tightly contested super tiebreak.
Shayla Draper added another point at No. 6 after her opponent retired in the second set.
With the win, Hamline improves to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in MIAC play.
