Pipers Roll Past Wis.-Stevens Point, 22-12

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Hamline University (11-2, 3-2) secured a commanding 22–12 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (7-5, 1-3) on Saturday. The Pipers' offensive output included four player-up goals, contributing to their decisive win.

The first quarter opened with Hamline gaining an early edge as Emma Halweg scored the initial goal at 14:00, giving Hamline a 1-0 lead. The Pipers extended their advantage to 2-0 at 10:59 with a goal by Lauren Moorhouse, assisted by Kayli Starkey. Wis.-Stevens Point responded with two quick goals, one by Addison Novack assisted by Marissa Van Dyke at 8:48, and another by Rowan Dunn at 7:57, leveling the score at 2–2. Ema Rehder then restored Hamline's lead with a goal at 5:28, again assisted by Starkey, to close the quarter with a 3–2 advantage for Hamline.

Rehder led Hamline with four goals in the second quarter, contributing significantly to their offensive push. Rehder scored her first goal at 13:21 with an assist from Starkey, followed by another at 12:16, assisted by Reagan Zywicki. She continued her scoring spree with a goal at 8:56 and closed the quarter with a final goal at 00:34. Despite Wis.-Stevens Point's efforts, including a goal by Katie Wigen at 11:16 from a free position shot and another by Marissa Van Dyke at 2:01, Hamline maintained control. Additionally, Emma Collins scored for Hamline in a player-up situation at 6:08, assisted by Starkey. The quarter ended with Hamline leading 9–5.

In the third quarter, Hamline took control with a strong offensive performance. Wis.-Stevens Point initially extended its lead as Van Dyke scored twice in the opening minutes, but Hamline quickly responded. Collins put Hamline on the board at 12:51, followed by Rehder's goal at 12:06. Moorhouse capitalized on a player-up opportunity at 10:57 and again at 9:38 from a free position, contributing significantly to Hamline's run. Despite Wis.-Stevens Point's Van Dyke scoring again at 7:11, Moorhouse continued her scoring spree, netting two more goals, including one assisted by Zywicki at 1:02, solidifying a commanding 17–8 lead by the end of the quarter.

The Pipers maintained their lead in the final quarter, eventually securing a 22–12 victory over Wis.-Stevens Point. Marissa Van Dyke opened the scoring with a goal at 13:58, assisted by Kaylee Slane. Rehder responded with a goal for Hamline at 11:57, assisted by Zywicki. Moorhouse then added two goals for Hamline, one at 8:57 with an assist from Collins, and another at 6:43. Ali Senart scored for Wis.-Stevens Point at 8:14, but Hamline's offensive momentum continued with a goal by Rehder at 2:01 and another by Starkey at 1:17, finalizing the quarter.
