SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Hamline (4-12) secured a decisive 7-0 victory over Martin Luther College (2-9) on Monday. The Pipers swept all six singles matches and captured all three doubles matches to complete the shutout.
Hamline secured the doubles point decisively by winning all three matches. At No. 1 doubles,
Wyatt Crowell and
Brendon Sebring dominated their opponents, Johannes Bourman and Eli Stern, with a 6-0 victory.
Matthew George and
Max Gulliford followed suit at No. 2 doubles, defeating Isaiah Scharf and Matthew Koelpin 6-0. The No. 3 doubles match saw
Wesley Saunders and
Sam Siegel complete the sweep with a 6-0 win against Alexander Wrobel and Carson Mattek.
In singles play, Hamline's momentum continued with Crowell posting a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Johannes Bourman at No. 1 singles. George extended the lead at No. 2 singles, securing a 6-3, 7-5 win over Eli Stern. Sebring added another point at No. 3 singles with a comfortable 6-2, 6-1 win against Isaiah Scharf, while Gulliford clinched the match for Hamline at No. 4 singles, defeating Matthew Koelpin 6-0, 6-1.
The success continued with
Liam Smith's 6-2, 6-1 victory over Abraham Schlomer at No. 5 singles. Rounding out the singles lineup,
Jonah Wendt defeated Silas Hillmer 6-4, 6-2 at No. 6 singles, completing a dominant performance for the Pipers with a final dual score of 7-0.
