MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Hamline University (11-8, 4-6 MIAC) narrowly fell to the St. Olaf Oles (10-8, 3-7 MIAC) 4-3 on Friday at InnerCity Tennis. The Pipers secured the doubles point with victories in the No. 1 and No. 3 matches.

Chloe Reyes clinched a 7-6(5) win at No. 1 doubles over Alexandra Berns and Emma Clift.
Emily Dreger and
Gabi Newton followed suit with a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles against Norah Brusco and Haley Swanson. St. Olaf managed a win at No. 2 doubles, where Elliana Loesch and Dana Keesler defeated
Elanna Kohner and Chrissa Muller, 6-0.
In singles play, Hamline initially extended its lead at No. 5 singles, as
Emily Dreger claimed a decisive 6-1, 6-2 victory over Elliana Loesch. However, St. Olaf responded by winning the next three singles matches. At No. 1 singles, Alexandra Berns defeated
Vanessa Pham 6-3, 6-3. Reyes provided a pivotal win for Hamline at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Emma Clift.
St. Olaf regained momentum with wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles. Dana Keesler prevailed over
Elanna Kohner, 6-2, 7-6(2) at No. 3 singles, and Charlotte Sloane overcame Chrissa Muller in a three-set battle at No. 4 singles, finishing 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7). The final result was sealed at No. 6 singles, where Norah Brusco defeated
Shayla Draper, 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (12-10), leading to a final dual score of 4-3 in favor of St. Olaf.
The Pipers, despite the loss to the Oles in the final match of the regular season, are officially confirmed as the 6 seed in the MIAC women's tennis playoffs. This will be their first playoff appearance in program history!
