WBCA RELEASE

ATLANTA, Ga. --- With not only a successful year on the court for Piper women's basketball, came a stellar year in the classroom that helped them place second overall in Division III in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top-25 Team Honor Roll, announced by the organization on July 21. The Hamline women's basketball team held a 3.847 GPA during the 2025-26 academic year.

Hamline led the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) with a second-place finish in Division III and was one of four other conference institutions listed in the top-25 list. Saint Benedict placed fourth, St. Catherine tied for fifth place, and Gustavus ranked 15th. Additionally, Concordia Moorhead and Macalester were listed in the special mention section for Division III.

With a second overall place in Division III with their combined 3.847 GPA, the Pipers were also 6th overall in NCAA women's basketball across all divisions, an outstanding accomplishment for this group of student-athletes.

The Pipers finished 19-7 overall on the season, with a 13-5 conference record to send them to the MIAC playoffs as the fifth seed.
