It is business as usual this week for Hamline senior Jessica Putland. And that is a very good thing.

The Belleville, Wis. native will represent Hamline at the NCAA D=III Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend in Winson-Salem, NC. 

Jessica will be one of just two MIACers competing in the Shot Put. last weekend, Jessica heaved the pellet 46- 7 1/2 feet to finish in second place at the MIAC Indoor T/F Meet in Moorhead. That's the eighth best effort by a thrower in this event this winter/spring. jessica had an excellent mIAC meet. In addition to her shot put heroics, she won the Weight Throw with a 53- 3 3/4' effort. She barely missed making the NCAA field in that event as well.
