Eric Dols certainly knows how to make an entrance. In his first collegiate meet -- the St. Thomas Invitational -- the HU freshman won one event and was second in another.Â
Although last Friday 's meet was officially a nonscoring affair, the Prior Lake, Minn. native scored a big impression on all with a 50-4.50 foot heave that was enough to earn a victory in the Weight Throw competition. Eric was also second in the Shot Put with a 49-10.50 effort.
The new MIAC performance lists are not available. But this would have ranked fifth on the 2015 list for both  the Weight Throw and Shot Put competitions.Â
It was a great start to the indoor track/field season, which continues this Friday with a meet at St. Olaf.Â
