It was a performance worthy of prime time. HU quarterback Connor Leavens did his part to return The Paint Bucket to Hamline last Saturday night by completing 235 of 35 passes for 287 yards and four TDs in a 31-27 win at Macalester.

The junior transfer, making just his college start, found Tyler Dobbs for a pair of scores as well as solo shots with Triston Thomas and Tanner Lunceford. His 21 yarder to Dobbs with 10:37 left to play proved to be the game winning score. 

The Pipers held the ball for 35 minutes and went an impressive 7-for-15 on third down conversions.

The Pipers, now 1-1, start MIAC play with a pair of home games. St. Thomas comes to Klas Field this Saturday, September 21 for a 1:10 p.m. game. Concordia is the visitor on September 28.
