Sam Stark kicked out 42 shots but Gustavus Adolphus just had too many weapons and dealt the HU women's hockey team a 6-0 setback Friday night at Warner Coliseum.

The Pipers (0-4-1, 0-2-1 MIAC) kept pace for the first half of game but the powerful Gusties wore them down and scored four times in the final 27 minutes to seal the verdict.

Stark knocked away 18 shots in a furious first period and was beaten just once. She stopped 14 in the second and 16 more in the final session. 

The Pipers recorded 11 shots on goal for the game. Chelsea Koehn (27) led the team with three shots on goal.

The same teams meet Saturday in St. Peter. Game time is 2:05 p.m.
