DIIIHOCKEYNEW RELEASE

SAINT PAUL, Minn. --- Hamline women's hockey sophomore defender Ellie Newpower (Lino Lakes, Minn.) was named to the 2026 DIIIHockeyNews.com Women's Third Team West on Thursday, April 9. 

Newpower was a significant presence on the ice for the Piper defense this season, scoring 7 goals and collecting 12 assists for 19 points this season, two of her goals being the game winning goals. She contributed 75 shots and was a +25 on the ice. She also led the team in blocked shots with 42 total. She helped take the Pipers to the NCAA Quarterfinals and finish their season with a 21-6-1 overall record and a 14-3-1 conference record.
