On a cold night, Jordan Verleye has remained redhot. The junior scored a goal for the third straight game in Hamline's women's hockey 2-1 loss to Bethel in Blaine Friday.
The Royals were leading, 1-0, in the first period when Verleye broke free for an unassisted tally at 15:38.
The game stayed that way until BU scored a power play goal midway in the final period. Katie Beckman, who had 21 saves, left for a sixth attacker late in the game. Hamline made it a six-on-four with a late power play but couldn't get the equalizer.
HU, now 2-6-1 overall, 0-4-1 in the MIAC, will look to even matters when the teams meet at Warner Coliseum Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
