Three Hamline swimmers won two events each but the Pipers dropped a dual meet with Concordia, 148-83, at Bush Pool Friday night.
Jennie Dwyer, Maya Rapp (pictured) and
Dani Waskosky shared the honors for HU.
Dwyer had to work a long time for her wins. After taking the 1000 Freestyle race in a time of 11:59.37, she came back to win the 500 Free in 5:46.93.
Rapp won a tight race in the 200 IM in 2:28.18. Later, she claimed the 100 Butterfly title in another thriller, finishing in 1:06.
Waskosky is rounding into form for the diving competition at the MIAC meet. She earned top spot in the IM competition with a score of 208.50 and took the 3M crown with a 225.15 effort. (
Kayla Hennum was second at 183.45).
Marissa Smith also had a good night, winning the 100 Backstroke (1:07.70) and finishing second in the 200 Free by less tha a second (2:10.09).
The Pipers will have little rest. They jump back in the pool Saturday at the St. Kate's Invite.
