Box Score Hamline found out what other people in the MIAC already knew -- Gustavus' Lindsey Hibbard is a heckuva goalie. The Pipers fired 19 shots at the junior Saturday night at Oscar Johnson Arena but she turned them all away. Her teammates, however, were able to find the net and defeated the Pipers, 4-0.

HU goalie Jessica Cole was sharp in her college debut in the nets, making 43 saves -- 19 in the third period alone. But she allowed a pair of power play goals and two others shots clinked off the goalpost and in as Hamline fell to 0-3-1 on the season.

The Pipers came out gunning and controlled the play for the first 15 minutes of the game. However, Hibbard, who has allowed just two goals in 10 periods this season, kept them off the board and the period ended scoreless.

GAC's Carolyn Draayer broke the scoreless tie at 5:06 of the second period with a power play goal. The Gusties added two more before the end of the period and added a power play marker in the final frame as well. Kelsey Rafferty and Megan Lawry were the top tailgunners for HU with four shots apiece.

Hamline hosts UW-Eau Claire Tuesday at Oscar Johnson Arena. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
