Count the HU women's tennis team among the believers of Carleton's high ranking. The No. 6 Knights defeated the Pipers, 9-0, Thursday in Lakeville. 

Emily Butler dropped her first set at No. 1 singles, 6-0 but made a game fight of the second before bowing, 6-4. Maggie Gibson, paying at No. 5 singles, put up the siffest resistance, falling in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3.

Hamline is now 1-3 overall, 1-1 in the MIAC. They will face St. Catherine Saturday at the U of Minnesota. The match begins at 7:00 a.m.
