It was the same score as the first weekend. But it felt much better for the HU wonen's tennis team.

The Piper opened MIAC play with a solid 7-2 win at Concordia Saturday night.

Hamline took all three doubles matches and four singles matches to improve to 1-2 overall.

Jordan Danielson and Shamara Duwearatchi teamed uop for a tough doubles win and claimed singles wins to pace the Pipers. The tandem won a dramatic doubles set, 9-8 on a 7-3 tiebreaker. Danielson was an easy winner at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-0) while Duwearatchi swept her No. 4 single match, 6-2, 6-2. Cassie Rammage (3-6, 6-3, 10-1) and Emily Woolmuth (6-3, 6-4) won their singles matches as did the pairings of Emily Butler/Leanna Manthe (9-8 with a 7-4 tiebreaker)  and Elizabeth Hughes/Lilli Dennison (8-6).

The Pipers face Carleton next week.
