With a 6-10 overall record, HU women's tennis team has its most wins in seven years. Win No. 6 came on a gray Wednesday as the Pipers took charge early in a 9-0 win over Martin Luther at Holt Courts.
Emily Buter, Jordan Danielson, Cassie Rammage, Shamara Duwearatchi, Emily Wollmuth and
Maggie Gibson all claimed straight set wins. Gibson, at No. 6 singles, scored an impressive 6-0, 6-0 win. HU surrendered just 10 games in the six matches.
Danielson and Duwearatchi recorded a solid 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles. Rammage and Gibson scored a similar win at No. 2 doubles. The team of
Lilli Dennison-Elizabeth Hughes continued to impress with an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles. The pair is now 5-1 on the season.
Hamline returns to MIAC play Saturday, April 5 when they travel to St. Thomas.
