Hawker, Hennum Stand Out In Home Finale

Hannah Hawker made a big splash in her final home appearance. Kayla Hennum (pictured) moved up in the record book as well. That pair joined Kaitlyn Allee and the 200 Freestyle Relay team in the winner's circle in Hamline's 113-92 loss to Concordia at Bush Pool Friday night. 

Hawker, who was honored along with men's senior Jerry Daniels, sped to victory in the 50 Freestyle, edging Concordia's Siri Berry by less than half a second, winning in a time of 26.24 seconds. Later, she whipped the field in the 100 Backstroke. her winning time of 1:04.81 bettered the field by nearly five seconds. 

Hennum continued to climb up the ladder in 3 Meter Diving. Her score of 214.15 moved to eighth all-time on the school's honor roll. 

Allee, a freshman, scored a five second win in the 100 Breaststroke, finishing in 1:14.90. She also finished third (directly behind Maya Rapp) in the 100 Butterfly. Rapp, Hawker, Savannah Robertson and Hannah Lenzen teamed up for a 1:49.29 clocking to edge the Cobbers in the 200 Free race.

Hamline hits the pool again Saturday. The swimmers are at St. Catherine (12:00 p.m. start) while the divers will compete at Bush Pool (12:30 p.m. start).
