Box Score On her last day of active playing for the Hamline women's hockey team,
Jordan Verleye joined an exclusive club. The Michigander (7) scored a third period goal to become just the fifth player in school history to hit the 70 point barrier. In 99 career games, Verleye finishes with 36 goals and 34 assists.
It turned out to be the only goal for the Pipers in a 2-1 season-ending loss at St. Mary's Saturday afternoon. One day after being outshot 50-20 in a 3-2 win, Hamline outshot St. Mary's, 35-27. But Verleye's solo goal 3:10 into the third period was the only marker.
Mary Shefveland, who batted away 48 shots Friday night, refuted 25 shots in goal.
It was the final college game for Verleye and
Sam Berger, the team's two seniors.
Hamline finished the season 6-17-2 overall, 4-11-2 in the MIAC.
