The HU women's tennis team continued its late season surge with a solid 7-2 win over Concordia Saturday at Holt Courts.
Emily Butler, Jordan Danielson and
Lilli Denison were all double winners as the Pipers took their fourth match in a row and improved to 7-10 on the season. The seven wins is more than they achieved last year and is the most by a Piper women's tennis contingent since the 2007 team finished with a 7-10 mark. The four consecutive wins is the best HU women's tennis string since 2006 when they won five straight.
Hamline won five singles matches -- all in straight sets. Danielson had an impressive 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2.
Maggie Gibson had a solid win at No. 4 with a 6-2, 6-1. But they were surpassed by No. 6 singles player
Emily Wollmuth, who triumphed by 6-0, 6-1. Danielson and Dennison teamed up for an 8-2 at No. 1 doubles with the Butler-
Elizabeth Hughes pairing winning at No. 3 doubles, 8-4.
