Box Score The wind died down considerably in Northfield Thursday. Hamline was able to put men on base but couldn't move them around in the resumption of a game at Carleton that was suspended due to darkness after six innings.
Hamline trailed 19-11 when the game was stopped. Unfortuately, that is how it ended, too.Â
Matt Connell doubled in the seventh inning.Â
Chris Zeller singled in the eighth andÂ
Dan Moro did likewise in the ninth. (Zeller, Moro and
Evan Cordell finished the game with three hits each.) The Knights, however, held firm and ended the Pipers' six-game winning streak. HU is now 19-13 overall and  sits seventh with a 7-7 record in the MIAC. They are two games out of third place, which is co-held by Carleton, Concordia and St. Mary's at 7-5.Â
The Pipers travel to Arden Hills Saturday to take on league leader Bethel (24-5, 12-2 MIAC). The twinbill starts at 1:00 p.m.
