It was the kind of breakout performance the Piper women's tennis team had been looking for. Hamline took control early and never let up in a 9-0 decision over Wis-River Falls Wednesday at Holt Courts.
The Pipers lost just one set in singles and only six games in doubles to improve to 6-11 on the season.Â
Lilli Denison continued her late season brilliance with a pair of 6-0 wins at No. 4 singles. Maddie Muotka and Elizabeth Hughes were nearly as perfect. Both surrendered just one set in their wins. Emily Butler won her match by 6-1 counts.
On the doubles side, Jordan Danielson and Denison looked like the No. 1 crew in their 8-1 win. Â Muotka and Natalie Pieterick won their No. 3 doubles match by an impressive 8-2 margin.
