They put up stiff opposition at times but the Hamline women's tennis team dropped a pair of 9-0 MIAC decisions on the weekend. The Pipers fell at St. Mary's on Friday and to St. Catherine on Saturday in a match played at the University of Minnesota.
Lilli Denison took her opponent to a third set tiebreaker before falling at No. 3 singles against the Cardinals. The No. 3 doubles tandem of
Emily Butts and
Megan Anderson hung tough in an 8-6 loss.
Jordan Danielson fared the best against the Wildcats, losing her No. 1 singles match, 6-0, 6-2.
Hamline is 0-7 overall, 0-5 MIAC.
